urbi project, 2000

This project enhanced the transition between the academic life and the professional one. It was a product designed for the conclusion of the course – Product Design. It is about an individual urban vehicle with a two cycle engine, fiberglass and parts found in the motorcycle market.

Projeto de conclusão de graduação em design de produtos. Urbi , veículo individual urbano, construído com motor de 2 tempos, fibra de vidro e peças encontradas no mercado motociclístico.

that the process to develop a product utilize a methodology which can be described as “the steps to bake a cake”; applying the methodology in each step of the preparation of the dish.

But the ways to prepare a dish are not alike. Some people alter the order of the ingredients, add other ones and make experiments...

This is possible due to the chef’s skills and to the lack of concern about the final result, but the process is always used as part of the learning, even if the final result is just a cake with a “new flavor”.

This space aims at presenting a few results (and knowledge) when developing some “cakes” and “experiments” in the world of design, specially in Estudio Breder.

que o processo de desenvolvimento de produtos utiliza uma metodologia que poderia ser descrita como "seguir os passos de uma receita de bolo", aplicando-a etapa por etapa do preparo do quitute.

Mas nem todas as formas de preparo são iguais. Alguns, valendo-se de algumas habilidades do "chef" ou de certa "despreocupação" com resultado final, trocam a ordem de alguns ingredientes, misturam outros, fazem experimentos...

Mas sempre aproveitando o processo como aprendizado, mesmo que o resultado final seja apenas um bolo com "novo gosto".

Este espaço tem este objetivo, apresentar um pouco dos resultados (e aprendizados) no desenvolvimento de alguns "bolos" ou "experimentos" do mundo do design... especialmente no Estúdio Breder.
